While our new website is under construction, welcome to our temporary website.
Santrovélo is a do-it-yourself community bike shop associated with and supported by Santropol Roulant. Our mission is to empower community members and promote active transportation, cycling safety, and eco-sustainability through bike repair. Our volunteer mechanics provide knowledge and access to tools in an enthusiastic, respectful, and inclusive safe space.
Santrovélo is a place of learning, so we won’t fix your bike for you, like at a regular bike shop. Instead, volunteers will teach, guide, and support you as you learn to fix your bike and use the tools yourself.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Appointments are suggested, but drop-ins are always welcome! Additional open hours are posted on our Instagram and on our booking platform.
To book an appointment, please look at the booking tool. We generally have 8 spots per open day available. Please note that if none appear, the spaces have been booked.
We are open regularly on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings all year long from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (In May and June we have additional spots on select Saturdays – see booking tool.) The per-visit fee starts at $11 and drops for subsequent visits, $7 for a short visit of 45 minutes or pay-what-you-can. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
This is not an exhaustive list, but keep mind that work needs to be completed in under two hours. Please note that some repairs may be limited due to lack of new/used parts.

Would you like to join the Santrovélo team as a volunteer and help our patrons fix their bikes? Send us a short presentation of yourself: your skillset, availability and things you would like to learn by email to santrovelo@santropolroulant.org and we will let you know when you can visit for an orientation. In the meantime, please consult our guide.
